March updates from DC Bike Ride
From our partners at DC Bike Ride
Spring is coming
The weather has been so amazing it has us daydreaming about DCBR! We are three months out to May 22nd, and can’t wait to get the good times rolling with District’s newest spring cycling tradition. From 17 miles of car-free biking to a fantastic Finish Line Festival right in front of the Capitol.

How does this benefit WABA?
DCBR is more than just a ride. It benefits WABA’s mission by providing an opportunity for more and more people to give biking a try, and increase popularity and credibility of biking in D.C.. The ride will help make biking better beyond just May 22nd. A considerable grant from the event will fund
WABA’s Vision Zero community outreach programming, which drives D.C.’s (and now MoCo’s!) long-term campaign to eliminate all traffic fatalities and serious injuries.
From town hall meetings, to safety audits, to workshops, we want to make it possible for all of us to have the right tools to help make Vision Zero a success. Our goal is to make 2016 the best year for biking D.C. has ever seen, because life is truly better on two wheels.
Calling All Bike Clubs
As an added bonus, early bird registration may be over, but we’re extending the offer to all bike club members! Are you in a bike club? Gather your riding buddies and reach out to us at hello@dcbikeride.com to find out about our special bike club discount rate.
DCBR is looking for Ambassadors
Love cycling or staying active anyway you can? Love interacting with fun-loving active types, just like you? Enjoy connecting with others in the community through social media and at events? If you’ve answered yes to all three, we want to meet and recruit you! Awesome perks and cool swag included. Please
fill out an application and DCBR will be in touch.
